Introducing Vid – A jQuery Plugin For All Your Video Embedding Needs

It all started with a tweet:

@tensafefrogs: Cleaning up the YouTube embed code a bit: http://bit.ly/3oA4yM

I replied to Geoff saying ‘why not use javascript?’ to which he said: ‘because we want to be compatible with many (every) publishing platforms, and many of them don’t allow javascript’.

So that got me thinking, why not create a simple and small jQuery plugin for embedding videos… So I did…

Introducing 1Click2Fame.com

Here it is, this is what I’ve been working on for the past two months! It’s the new web site for 1Click2Fame.com where, and I quote, “finding fame is the name of the game”.

It’s owned by the company Enrich Productions and I was bought in to build them a Flash video player and also little bits of Flashy stuff here and there including the home page carousel and the competition count-down timer. More stuff to follow!

It’s Been a Good Long Week

And it’s not quite over, yet! This week I started a new contract at ESP (also known as Enrich Productions) working primarily on their main project called 1Click2Fame.com. It’s a really beautiful concept and one that I hope to help as much as I can in. If you’re not quite sure what the site’s about, here’s a quick blurb:

“The online talent contest where the UK’s best battle it out to win prizes and fame.You watch, you vote, you decide who wins our weekly prizes to take talent to the next stage.”
